Through a Massachusetts Department of Education grant, supported in part by Learn and Serve America and the Massachusetts Service Alliance, Frontier Regional High School and PVMA recently completed a three-year Community Service Learning partnership. Students served the museum in a variety of ways, while learning valuable life skills and good citizenship.
Read about our third-year project, the off-site exhibition Harvesting Yesterday, Cultivating Tomorrow, celebrating our BIG READ here. We’ll be sharing our experience with colleagues at the New England Museum Association‘s annual conference in November 2009, presenting the workshop Youth Curators: A Team Approach to Creating Exhibitions. Click here for information about the workshop and the conference.
We look forward to a continued relationship with Frontier Regional High School through Service Learning, as well as our new partnership with Pioneer Valley Regional High School in Northfield. Stay tuned!
