BREWING MASSACHUSETTS
How Beer Shaped the Bay State

May 30–October 11, 2026, Friday–Sunday
107 Main Street, Old Deerfield, at the Indian House Memorial
Scavenger Hunt May 24–June 27 ~
Get Started here.

We are proud to introduce Brewing Massachusetts: How Beer Shaped the Bay State, made possible by a grant from Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT). Through rare artifacts, photographs, and documents, this exhibit tells the story of Massachusetts brewers from the Pilgrims to the present. It will be on view in a replica of an 18th century tavern used during the Revolutionary War at the Indian House Memorial at 107 Main Street in Old Deerfield. Tickets will be $5. PVMA members FREE; children 12 & under FREE; and students with ID are free.

No state has been more impacted by brewing than Massachusetts. But this story hasn’t been told in one place, until now. Brewing Massachusetts will be open this season, during the 250th anniversary of 1776, a landmark nationwide event that will shine a spotlight on American history. Learn more about the exhibit, programming, and sponsors here.

To honor this revolutionary history, we are crafting a free historic statewide event, titled Brewing the Revolution. This scavenger hunt will bring participants to historic Revolutionary taverns and brewing sites across the state. The scavenger hunt will take place from May 24–June 27, 2026, and is open to everyone ages 13 and up, free to play, and participants can win a variety of prizes. Get started here.
